Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere was established during the academic year 1979 - 80 with the initiative and foresight of memebers of
Bapuji Educational Association(R) on approval from Govt. of Karnataka and is duly affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University,
Belgaum. The institute is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. At present the institute offers 12 undergraduate, 7 postgraduate programs in Engineering and Management courses & it has 13 Research Centres.
